Mr. Drayton's, passing is a Great Loss ! I will truly miss my dear friend , my Mentor and Cheer Leader. Oh the wisdom, the intelligence, all the real life experiences he shared will be treasured for ever. He has had an amazing impact on our community. As a Community Leader and Mentor he modeled community service. He felt it was imperative that we knew our history and to have a say in the decisions that are being made for our lives. Mr. Drayton groomed and encouraged many leaders in our community. May we all, his Family and Friends find a peace that surpass all understanding.

We are sadden at the loss of a giant, community leader, gentleman, gifted, mentor and family man. Sending our prayers and condolences to the family.
It was a great honor to be able to share wonderful times with our friend Dr. James Drayton. Our life was touched by the example he gave all of us. He attended Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church many times and we witnessed his love for the Lord.
May he Rest In Peace with our Lord as his spirt lives on. His impact on us will never be forgotten.
