Dear Joshua, I watched ID tonight saw the story of your life how you described your Dad as a '"stand up guy" and best friend. I lost my son who was an Iraq veteran too, very proud of both of you but so sad to learn you died. If there is a heaven above you,my son and others like you will be there. How I wish your life had been different....

Such a tragic life. And a lonely death. I have to wonder. They poisoned his dad. Is it possible his liver failure, at such a YOUNG AGE. Could it be a result of his mother's attempts to poison him?

From: Regina and Beverly Atkinson Saturday, October 12, 2019
Death is difficult to deal with but we have the hope of a resurrection from our loving God Jehovah. The resurrection hope is an assured promise mentioned throughout the Bible. The Bible tells us that the hour is coming, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and they will be resurrected (John 5:28,29). Without a doubt Jehovah through his son Jesus Christ will bring to life our dead loved ones. This wonderful video can help you to further understand the wonderful hope our loving Father Jehovah provided for us. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/videos/#en/mediaitems/docid-502017858_1_VIDEO

Joshua, I didn't know you but I saw your story. And I greatly related to you as someone who also has PTSD from childhood experiences. My heart went out to you while I was watching you talk about what happened and how you were working hard to process and get through this. You did good, you made some peace with the people that hurt you. I am truly sorry that you weren't able to continue to make the life that you wanted to have and truly deserved. I respect you and I honor you and I thank you for sharing your story and for the service that you gave our country. I hope you find peace and that you are enjoying spending time with your father. You are gone but not forgotten. Thank you for sharing your story.

My deepest condolences. I truly look forward to the time when God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death, mourning, outcry, and pain, just as it says at Revelations 21:3,4. It is comforting to know that soon we won't have to worry about losing our loved ones. But what about the ones we have already lost? Like, dear Joshua? Well, the Bible confirms that there is going to be a resurrection- Hosea 13:14. At John 5:28, 29. Jesus says “the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Yes, God will surely remember Joshua and he will resurrect Joshua to a paradise earth, where there will no longer be any sickness, death, pain or sorrow. Isaiah 26:19 - (The dead will live again) Isaiah 33:24 - (No more sickness) Isaiah 35:5,6 - (More Hope to look forward to) JW.ORG Online Bible: https://www.jw.org/en/publications/bible/study-bible/books/ Email me: goodnewfromgod@gmail.com I look forward to the time when Joshua can be with us again in perfect health. You and your family are my prayers during this time.

My condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May pleasant memories of Joshua bring comfort during your time of sorrow and remembrance, along with God's promise in the Bible at John 5:21, 28 and 29. Jehovah is the God of Comfort who can and will heal your broken heart. For His Son, Jesus, said: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." (John 11:25) On April 19, 2019, Jesus' death will be commemorated worldwide. Visit www.jw.org for more information about his memorial services and what his death means for you and your loved ones.

Truly heartbreaking, I just saw the episode and was completely floored that I had to rewind because I thought I misread it. Such an amazing, courageous and resilient young man whose life was unexpectedly cut so short. Peace be with both you and your late father’s spirit, GOD bless both of you.

I am so sorry for your recent loss. Grief can be extremely difficult to deal with. We look forward to the day when death will be no more as promised by our Heavenly Father. Until that time it helps to know that we can turn to God because He cares about how you feel. He comforts us through his word. He wants you to reach out to him and pour out your heart to him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) He promises that all who do so will have their thoughts and feelings soothed by “the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.” (Philippians 4:6, 7) • God feels for you in your pain.—Psalm 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7. • God patiently listens to the prayers of his servants.—Psalm 86:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:17. • God misses people who have died.—Job 14:13-15. • God promises to resurrect the dead.—Isaiah 26:19; John 5:28, 29. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/watchtower-no3-2016-may/dealing-with-grief/

There are no words that can ease the pain of losing a loved one in death. Therefore, I'll let God's Word speak for me. Psalm 147:3 says , He heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds. May our heavenly Father take you under his protective wings to help you through your sorrow. I have found free comforting information on www.jw.org that I think you will also enjoy. Please feel free to browse at your convenience.
