Jesus taught that someday "all those in the memorial tombs" will be resurrected. (John 5:28) Jehovah is the Creator of all life. Should it be hard to believe that he can re-create life? Of course, much would depend on Jehovah's memory. Can he remember our dead loved ones? Countless trillions of stars fill the universe, yet God knows the name of each one! (Isaiah 40:26) So Jehovah God can remember our dead loved ones in every detail, and he is ready to restore them to life.

As one of the legion of students who attended Al Weber's workshops and reunions, I am blessed to have been enlightened and encouraged by him over the many years of his tutelage. Thank you Al, good friend and mentor.

Al Weber made a huge difference in my career in photography. He hired me to teach in his workshops, and believed in me as an artist. I received Al's newsletters for many years and was always happy to read his news and information. I looked forward to his letters about friends and what was happening in his world. I'm very sorry for his passing and I send my love and condolences to his family.

I first met Al at the Ansel Adams workshop in 1974 which started a life-long friendship. He introduced me to many important photographers and was a guiding mentor in my personal photography. I exhibited his photographs at the Edison Street Gallery in Salt Lake City. I was privileged to teach workshops at Victor. We also worked together on other workshops in Utah. He was always kind and genuine to me and very generous with his time and talents. I am grateful that he took time to visit with my BYU students when we traveled to Monterey and share many important lessons on life and photography. Al Weber will always be one of the great influences in my life and will be greatly missed.
