In loving memory of James Bond Pickard
9/7/1952 - 9/15/2013

Location: Fort Worth, Texas

Visits: 37,696

This memorial was created in honor of James Bond Pickard. James was born on September 7, 1952 in Fort Worth and passed on September 15, 2013 in Fort Worth of heart disease. James was the son of Mack and Louise Pickard, and is survived by his only daughter, Chelsea Keesler, and his older brother, David Pickard. He was an Army veteran, and a talented musician, songwriter, and artist with a wonderfully corny sense of humor, who loved to read the Bible and share the gospel with others.

Obituaries will be published 10/1 in the Star Telegram, and 10/2 in The Azle News.

Cremation has been arranged by Arlington Funeral home, and two memorial services are being held to accommodate both family and friends.

The first memorial is at James's church, Way Gospel Cowboy Church, 420 Jaybird Ln. Springtown, TX, on 10/6 at 2 p.m. You're invited to join in the church service until noon, and a pot luck lunch after. Church members will bring covered dishes to share, and non-members can bring dishes if they choose.

The second memorial is at Veteran's Park in Arlington the following Saturday, October 12 at noon. (We'll update with the exact location within the park soon.)
This will be an informal "picnic," so we ask that guests bring a simple dish, appetizer, dessert, or snack to share.

In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family, or make your contribution to Teen Challenge USA. http://teenchallengeusa.com/donate/1207/

Alternatively, or in addition to making a donation, you can get involved with the VA's Help for Homeless Veterans program by printing out flyers to distribute in your community, or by sharing/embedding banners and/or videos found here for free: http://www1.va.gov/homeless/get_involved.asp

Thank you for your continued love and support.
