This memorial was created in honor of Willard "Carl" Carlton Chandler of Monroeville, Alabama. Carl was born on February 17, 1986 in Mobile and went on to be with the Lord on February 21, 2011. Carl was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family. He was an AMAZING person who loved unconditionally and would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat. Carl was a great husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was wonderful with children and never met a stranger. He always knew how to cheer someone up or make them laugh. He was such a free and happy spirit that loved spending time with friends and family, playing his guitar and singing, and hunting every chance he got. Those were his passions. He was very spontaneous and full of life. He always put others before himself. He always looked to the future and never the past. Carl was quick to forgive and forget. He will be missed so much and will be in our hearts FOREVER. We love you so very much, Carl.

This memory is for your children to read one day. On Sunday, the day before your passing you took Jess and the kids to Bass Pro Shop and to buy some things for Adelynn... When you got back Micah was excited because you got him some boots..he was so proud of them...he told me he was never going to take them off...Jess was stressed about Brady hitting his head on the counter at Academy and seemed to have calmed down and everyone was talking and I asked how much were those boots because Micah was telling me they were snake proof and water proof and he was showing us the gun he got...he wanted that gun really bad and we didn't buy it because we thought it cost too much...it's funny you and Jess said Micah went straight to it and you told me that it didn't matter that if you had the money you were going to spoil your kids...Micah keeps asking for you and I know that little man loved you and I know you loved him too...you were very giving Carl...

I don't have alot of memories of Carl, but I'll always have the memory of him being a care free wonderful person, excellent husband to my sister and a devoted father. He treated his family like royalty. The last time I saw Carl, was Christmas day. I remember it well because it was the first time I met my nephew Brady. I never thought that would be the last time I saw him. I will miss you Carl. Good luck in Heaven.

My last memory of Carl was him getting up at 5:00
Monday morning and getting ready for his first day of work as a pipe welder at Palace Casino in Biloxi. He got up and made Brady a bottle and started to get ready for work. He put on the most burnt up welding shirt he could find and I said, "You know, you have some better welding shirts clean." and he said "It'll be okay, it's just an old work shirt." Then he came over and gave me a kiss. Then, he gave Brady a kiss and Brady coughed right in his face. It was so funny and we both just laughed. Then he told us he loved us and I told him we loved him too. Then, I said be careful. He said, "I will be." Then, I said, "Have a good day." And he said, "I will try." And that was the last time I ever talked to or saw him again. He called me after work to let me know he was on his way home and I didn't make it to the phone, because I was tending to Brady. By the time I called him back, there was no answer...I could kick myself for not answering that stupid phone. I never would have thought when I watched him leave for work that day, that it would be the last time I would ever see him. Had I known what I know now, I would have just grabbed him and begged him not to go to work that day.

Have you lost a loved one?
