To the love of my life, Lee . . .
Loved you then

Always Will
Your soul is bound for its eternal Home. . .
And the sound of my heart breaking is deafening
The flowers are dry & brown and have no scent
The rainbow’s colors are faded
The world cannot see me
For without you I am just a shadow
......I lose my breath when speaking your name
My throat tightens and aches when I cry
My tears are like a waterfall and I can do nothing to stop them
They fall when I walk, when I talk, when I think, when I sleep, when I breathe
The world is askew, my very essence has been dimmed
You always said I was so strong, but what you didn’t know, Lee, is that my strength came from you - without you I am weak and sad and oh, so so lonely I can’t even think about tomorrow -
I can barely handle the next minute
But these things I go through gladly because I know you are at peace and your suffering is finally over. Just to know you are whole again and your breathing is easy is a trade I would make over and over
I will never stop loving you or missing you. So I wait and yearn for the day when I see you and our Heavenly Father standing in the light welcoming me home and we will never be apart again.
