This poem was shared with us when my father passed away this past October. I want to share it with Greta's family because it is so touching!

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I hear a voice that whispers "Grieve not for me."

Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs,
The good life I lived when I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I am counting on you.
Keep on smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest,
Remembering all how I was truly blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small,
Go on with your life, don't stare at the wall.

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin,
Until that day comes, we're together again.

things will never be the same, but particularly the summers. greta was always smiling and had the most beautiful smile. we spent lots of time drinking coffee in the mornings and just chit chatting through out the day. greta had such a great sense of humor and a kind heart. she will always be in my heart and memory.

If tears could build a stairway
and thoughts a memory lane

No Farewell words were spoken

You were gone before I knew it

My heart's still active in sadness
