To those who knew him well enough: What admiration it must have been for you to watch him facts the science out of it. While we, who knew him just a little, are so fascinated by a life dedicated to so much service. Did it seem to you, like it did to us, that Hugo could speak volumes, under his breath. That he preferred concepts to conflicts. That he espoused ideas more readily than ideologies, even though he had his own of each? Did you already know that while Hugo was on Coast Guard vessels and as an Auxiliarist, he was as good a role model for our core values of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty as any shipmate? Even as a young man, did Hugo consistently take opportunities to welcome new leadership and thank them for their devotion and commitment and encourage them to strive for greater levels of responsibility and achievement? Would you agree that Hugo had an unbridled passion for sharing his and Anita's life experiences and to reliving those joys with new friends?. Maybe Hugo had the best idea for when to have a celebration of life.
