Today was a very rough day! From the time I woke up this morning til this very moment, you have been on my mind. It has been a true blessing and honor to have had you as my grandmother. I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better one. God had assigned you as my grandmother to guided me and nurture me into the young lady I am today. I will forever appreciate the love, laughs and the home cooked meals. No one can cook as good as you! I miss your voice & the times you taught me how to sing hymns. I know in my heart you are resting in such a peaceful place. So I can’t be angry but just mourn and pray that we will see eachother again. Love you very much!

I remember the days of you simply braiding my hair, stepping out for a little shopping or a slice of pizza...small talks and long conversations. Your comforting words and little nuggets about life, attending my graduation and even bringing Grandma to my apartment for you both to comfort me when I lost my Maternal Grandmother. Aunt Valerie this is so hard for me to write because I still can’t believe it’s true. I will cherish every memory for an eternity. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Take your rest you true Woman Of God. I LOVE YOU GIRL! ?? Until we meet again
Love your niece,
Tiffy

Faithful, Committed, Loyal, Nurturing, Humorous, Fashion Forward, and Honest. In my world you held many honorable titles: First Lady, Chef Valerie, Comedian Valerie, Valerie the Fashionista...and the list goes on and on. You walked in truth and your faith in God was unwavering. You loved hard and valued family. I miss the way we cracked on one another. I would call you "Queensbridge" and you would call me "Will from the Group Home" LMBOOOO!! The peach upside down cake, the lamb lasagna and the bbq lamb(even though I'm suppose to be a vegetarian),the mac n cheese, and you brought me back a watch every time you went on away on vacation. You were so thoughtful, so intuitive, and so supportive. Thank you for everything you've done for Cherie and I. Thank you for loving our children to the point of no return. Thank you for loving me. You did such a good job here and I'm sure the Lord is well pleased. Continue to support and watch over us in spirit. Rest in Peace and Enjoy Paradise! With Love and Honor.

It is with a heavy heart I honor the life of my mother Valerie Sexton. I could have never imagined having to live without you. I miss our daily talks, shopping dates, holidays together, fussing with one another and most of all our loving relationship. Mommy you will forever live in my heart. There's not a day or moment I dont think about you. You have truly left an imprint on this earth and in our lives. You stayed with us as long as you could and fought as hard as you could. God decided he had bigger plans in store for you and releived you of your earthly life. Your earned your wings. Thank you for being a wondeful example of a Wife, Mother and Grand Mother. Love Always your one and only Cherie....
