This memorial was created in honor of Jerrold "Jerry" W. Garner of Palmdale, California, by his co-workers and friends at Technomedia. Jerry loved our Company, he loved that we are a family and without a doubt he is watching and expecting us to come together in love and strength to help each other during these difficult times.

Sigh.

Jerry.

I met Jerry 2 years ago. He was introduced to me from "Tomato" who is Peter Tinari and an ex co-worker. I brought Jerry into my world as a potential client. We spent a fair amount of time together in meetings, dinners, nights out, infocomm. This news is shocking, to say the least. He always made me smile. He was always the light in the room. He was a badass, and he was a good guy. He will be missed. Big hearts to Marina and Cory, I have not met you, but I have not stopped thinking about you since hearing of this tragedy.

Always in our hearts.

I will never forget when someone rang my doorbell in 1981. It was a Sunday. I opened the door and this little kid asked if I would want to go to the motocross and watch him jump over hills and bumps on his bike the following Tuesday. I had never seen this kid. I asked "Who are you?" He was Little Jerry... he lived in the house behind me.

You could never say no to that little kid. He and I became best friends in the following weeks. I have scores of memories of Jerry. He was one of the most amazing people I have ever met.

He loved his family... bragged about his brother and sisters... loved his wife with his whole heart... and Cory was his hero. He completely adored Cory. When he was in Dubai, Jerry had a camera in Cory's room that he (Jerry) could watch his son. Jerry would spend hours just watching his son... the pride of his life... his hero... playing with toys in his room... or even just sleeping.

I have known him since he was 10 years old. I have always loved Jerry. I miss him. I will miss him forever.

Jerry,
I will miss your laugh. I will miss your serious tone. I will miss your "lets get this done" attitude at all costs. We have walked through many fires together. We have laughed hard... (I will never ever ever forget the Hawaii/Gino/Scooter story). We have disagreed. We have been on the same page. Throughout it all, you have been constant. You have been loyal. You have been here. Thanks for that. Thanks for all of it. I will miss you very much.
So much love,
KHill

I had the pleasure of spending a day with Jerry last month at a work project in Midland Texas. During lunch when we drifted from work topics, Jerry shared a few stories of his family and children in LA. He was mighty proud of his kids and shared his pride in their achievements. I would not have thought then that just a few weeks later we would lose Jerry. But I thought I should pass along the love he showed for this family in California. We will all miss you Jerry!

Skydiver Jerry! Even in the worse of times all your memories put a smile on our faces. You touched people everywhere you went. A true leader who saw potential in the right people and worked tirelessly to make cool things happen. You were ALWAYS ALWAYS right!

Jerrold,

I miss you so very very much! I'm at a loss for how to move forward without you by my side, but I will 'get it handled', I promise you. I promise to work every day and night to honor you and the family that you love so very much.

I will miss your leadership, wisdom, the skip in your step and the twinkle in your eye, your passion for life and for 'creating cool stuff', our sometimes heated debates in our collaboration, your laugh, your love for your family, your crazy never ending skills and talent, your laugh (yes, that one is in here twice)...I'll miss it all.

My heart and prayers are with Marina, Cory and McKenzie and all of your large, extended family.

I take some comfort in knowing that you will be my guardian angel and I have some guidance for my decision making... what would Jerry do?

Love,
Joni

Big J, I left for China and our world was perfect, I return home to world that will never be the same. The heart you so generously gave to so many without pause... simply gave up. With so much sadness I say goodbye to my best friend, my right hand man, a leader, a gentleman, a motivator, a tremendous talent, most of all a loving husband and a dedicated father. You loved his family so much, you dedicated your all to caring for them and joyfully sharing pictures and videos of your son's incredibly creative youtube page daily. This is about the most I've been able to say since Thursday without breaking down. A measure of your love for all is whitnessed in the two children who live now thank's to your organ donations. We are better because you taught us, we are a family because we followed your lead. I vow to carry your great work on to the best of my ability Jerry. While our entire Technomedia family of family's is heartbroken, we are energized by the incredible memories with you all over the world through the years. We know you would want us to not skip a beat, put our heads down and "get it done!" I hope I can fill most of one of your shoes, because that would be my greatest achivement in life. My friend, I will miss you dearly, but with you Jerry, there is always a silver lining... there was never enough Jerry to go around... now we all have you, everyday, by our sides, for the rest of our lives. My love for you is endless and I promise I won't let you down. xo

Jerry’s Poem

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand wires that carry the flow
I am the diamond glints in LED glow
I am the relief on a cable’s strain
I am the systems central brain
When you awaken to the audio’s blare
I am the uplifting sound in the air
In quiet times of reflection and art
I am the music that moves your heart.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Jerry was an amazing man: unique in his approach to life, never seeking the straight and narrow. He gave selflessly to his work, earning him the reputation as Technomedia's
most expert "fireman": parachuting (something he also loved!) into job sites that were spiraling out of control, wrangling the people and technology back into shape, leaving nothing but positivity in his wake. He ate, slept and drank the phrase "You've Got To Want It!" in everything he did, in all he stood for. It's difficult to find the right words, in times like these, but the memory of Jerry's beaming smile and piercing gaze will serve as a constant reminder of who he was: steadfast, unwavering, expecting and delivering nothing but the best.
