Woodrow Floyd “Bo” Chambers Jr. of Fort Branch and Crown in Logan County and Kopperston and Lynco in Wyoming County, WV, passed away on November 18, 2014 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, of complications from a double lung transplant.
Bo was born on Christmas Day, 1958, in Logan County, West Virginia. He was the fourth child and first born son of Woodrow Floyd Sr. and Elizabeth Caroline Kinney Chambers.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Chrissonderia “Sandy” Knight Chambers and his father, Woodrow Floyd Chambers Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Caroline Kinney Chambers, his children, Michael (LaWanda) Chambers, Jaime Chambers, Matthew Chambers and Nathaniel Chambers, Grandchildren Nicholas, Michela, Aaron, Felicia and Molly, One Great-Grandchild Hunter, brother Albert (Jill) Chambers, sisters Wanda Gore, Barbara Chapman, Debbie (Jerry) Hensley and Anna (Craig) Moore, a great many Uncles, Aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and two special little ladies, Rachel and Jillian, whom loved their Uncle Bo dearly.
Bo was a retired coal miner operator who worked for 30 years throughout Logan, Boone, Lincoln, Wyoming and McDowell Counties. A graduate of Man High School, Class of 1976, he was a generous and humble man who had the biggest smile and best sense of humor. He was always making people laugh and never met a stranger. Bo was loved by all who knew him and will be missed more than words can express.
