CAPT Theron “Ted” Lamont Kropp, Sr., U.S. Navy Reserve (Ret.), 85, of Annapolis, Maryland, formerly of Castine, Maine, died peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was born November 25, 1931 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He served his country honorably in Vietnam. He was the Assistant Commandant of Midshipmen at Maine Maritime Academy for many years. Ted was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.

He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined. A celebration of his life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Castine, Maine, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Harry R. Geer, Ruth Sheridan Geer Tinges Scholarship Fund at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine, c/o MMA Development Office, Pleasant Street, Castine, Maine 04420.
