In loving memory of William Lloyd
7/24/1944 - 10/17/2017

Location: Dayton, Ohio

Visits: 3,565

Bill was born in Piqua, Ohio, on July 24, 1944, along with his twin brother, John. Growing up, Bill spent several summers at his beloved Camp Manito-wish in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, falling in love with canoeing and the north woods. When Bill went off to college at Yale, his roommate introduced him to the great love of his life: opera. After college, Bill was lucky enough to be able to return to Wisconsin to attend law school and it was in Madison that he met many more who became his lifelong friends, including his wife, Mary. After more than 35 years of living in Wisconsin, Bill returned to Ohio to be closer to his oldest friends, John and J. In Dayton, he made more new friends, including Maya, with whom he travelled the world, and Sarah, who showed him Taliesin.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel, father, Merton, and brother, John. He leaves behind his sister, Melissa, his daughter, Kate, her husband, Aaron, and his granddaughter, Molly. He also leaves many friends who will never forget his corny jokes, obsessive love of music and books, his passion for nature, and his selective memory.

Rest In peace, Dad. I miss you already.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Young Lusain Funeral Home.
