This memorial was created in honor of Jack Douglas Fugate of Longview, Washington. Jack was born on May 17, 1925 in Mayking, KY and passed on February 25, 2016. Jack was a World War II veteran who served in Patton's 3rd Army. He was a high school coach, teacher, and principal in the Kentucky public schools and for DoDDS in Europe. He was a great fisherman and fan of University of Kentucky Wildcats. He is survived by his wife Amelia; four daughters, Ann Marie, Jeanette (Matthew Forman), Barbara (Androu Morgan), and Susan (David Brangers); four grandchildren; Annie (Brain Bovenizer), Jane, Jack, and Lillian; and one great-grandson (Robert). The viewing will be held at Steele Chapel in Longview, Wa on Sunday, February 28 from 2:00 to 4:00, the funeral service will be help at St. Rose Catholic Church in Longview, Wa on Monday, February 29 at 4:00 with reception to follow. Jack will be buried at the Willamette Veteran Cemetery on Tuesday, March 1 at 10 am.
