Darwin was a truly exceptional soul. In these days of social distancing , I remember his hug...his smile and his love for all. Melba, Monica, Kiki and family, I am lifting you in prayer as is all of Kansas City.

Dear Sandi, Kiki, Toi, Lenny, and the rest of the family.
I know everyone is dealing with coronavirus pandemic but now you are dealing with the loss of your beloved husband, father and friend to so many – and I’m sorry about his loss.
As I write this, I sit with a flood of tears in my eyes over Darwin’s passing and who he was to me. I will always remember his sense of humor, a hearty laugh, boundless compassion, and a huge heart for others. I know whenever I saw him, without saying he would make me feel that he was proud of me. He was such an amazing person who was a role model for me as a young man, husband, & father and he’ll always be an example to follow.
I can’t make this less painful for you, but from time to time you will cry over the idea of his death. When you think of him you’ll feel pain, but remember it comes from a place of having loved and been loved deeply.
He cared deeply about others and because of his emotional generosity, he did so much for so many people and we all will feel the void.
Please know that I’ll carry the memory of Darwin in my heart forever.
My love to you all.
Tony
