When my daughter Emily was born we were so worried as new parents. For Emily's very first Christmas. Grandma gave Emily a pink hat made from the softest yarn. She loved it and I thought it was adorable. Grandma also later got her some books from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for us to read to her. We try to read to her every night. Grandma always made us feel like family. We may have been far away but Grandma never made us feel like strangers. She was the coolest. I will always have a special place in my heart for Grandma.

When I was a young girl daddy used to play with me; I remember one time I wanted to dress up in winter clothes and play explorer and dad got dressed up with me and we played outside in the hot summer wearing scarves, hats, and gloves.
