This memorial was created in honor of Diane.

Linda Diane Staple, 51, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her home in Dearing, Georgia. Diane was born on December 19, 1962 in Richland County, S.C. and resided in S.C. until moving to Georgia in 1989. She was loved by many and she will be dearly missed by all her friends and her family.

Diane was preceded in death by her father William Alvin “Rock” Jackson and her brother William Edward “Eddie” Jackson as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her mother, Elaine B. Denton; brothers, William "Peewee" Harvey; Darrell (Roxanne) Lucas; Rex (Angela) Harvey; and Johnny (Bobbie-Jean) Lucas; sisters, Patricia (Dennis) McCandless; Rebecca (Eddie) Wright; and Laura (Roy) Taylor. Her life-partner, Holly Briggs; and her children, Michelle (Jimmy) McTier; Brandy (Alan Green) Staple; grand-children, Caitlyn; Sarah; Daryan McTier and Zackary Green; honorary grand-children, Alicia; Colleen; and Kaleb Fuller; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and two very special pets, Ginger and Meeko.

Diane loved to sew, and she was very creative. She also loved her rose garden, decorating and cooking. She loved to experiment in the kitchen. Sometimes she experimented with food, sometimes it was painting or decorating. Sometimes she was brilliant and could create a masterpiece, sometimes, well; she would just laugh it off and start again the next morning.

There was a Remembrance service held on Wednesday evening, September 24, 2014 at Starling-Evans Funeral Home in Harlem, Georgia. Diane has a Memorial site where pictures, stories and memories can be shared between friends and family: http://www.never-gone.com/memorials/dianestaple

Current Memories

My favorite memory with Diane is being in Labor with Karin, being a hour away from the hospital, with no gas in the car! It's the middle of the night! Actually was close to daylight when we pulled onto I-20 headed towards Augusta. We had stopped for gas at the station and timed my pains at about 4 minutes apart! By the time we get almost to the hospital I am panting and Diane is sweating profusely, she is blowing the horn, beating the steering wheel, flashing the lights all while screaming at me, "Do not have that baby in this car, you better not have that baby is this car!" I do not remember what time they got me in the hospital, but we'd barely got to the delivery room when Karin was born. I never seen the labor room and the doctor was too late.

One of my very first memories of Diane was me running out to see the animals, especially the cows and goats and there was this huge rooster that would chase me! He scared me to death, one day, I guess shew tired of him and threw a stick and some how managed to break that monsters neck. I was probably about 6 years old or so.
