And he lives !!!

On earth, your heart was large
Your shoulders were broad
A destiny helper by call and profession
Your deeds were great
You came, saw, conquered and accomplished your missions
Victor - truly victorious! Able Godfather!

You were a vessel of the kingdom
You were a fisherman for God
The souls you caught for Him were many
So will your Golden crowns in Heaven
We are comforted that you are seated in Heavens

Your transformation was at the speed of light
You didn’t wait to say goodbye.
It was all ‘Amen! Pray! I love you! I will stand!’
Little did I realize you meant goodnight
It’s not goodbye to you
It’s goodnight, my brother

As you sleep on, rest well in peace
Dancing, praising and rejoicing with Jesus Christ.
Boda mi, I love you forever!

I've been trying so hard not to post anything as a memorial for my brother because it's still unbelievable that my kind hearted, generous, caring, committed, humble, respectful, humorous big brother is gone. It's like a bad dream and I still can't come to terms with it.
Big bro, as I always called you, you were a great inspiration to me, a definition of selfless, trustworthy and dependable. You had the biggest of all hearts. You called me last a week before your departure and we spoke for almost one and half hours. Little did I know that you were saying your final goodbye. The sky was just the beginning of what you had to offer humanity. Boda mi, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE SO EARLY???
God knows best, hence we can't question Him. I find solace in the Lord that you have gone to be with Him. You were and Angel and I'm blessed to have you as my brother. You will forever live in my heart big bro. E maa sinmi lookan Aya Jesu. I love you and I miss you so much. Go well boda mi

I have struggled for 5 days and I didn't have the courage to put words together for My Chairman. It's like a dream till now and just hoping to wake up to hear that it's not true. My Chairman and Big Brother, you were an epitome of wisdom, unparalleled maturity, kindness and sacrifical leadership. You mentored me in countless ways. You took me as your own brother and not a brother-in-law. You gave us broad shoulders to rest on at all times. You dedicated your life to God and helped many to fulfil their destinies. Your legacies will remains forever. Your last words to me on the day you passed on were; "Amen. I love you. I will stand". I have no doubt that you are standing with Jesus Christ now. Rest in peace My Chairman. You are truly victorious!!!

Egbon Ade, I can still not believe that you have left this planet earth forever, my constant reminiscence of the precious times we had together continue to reinforce the denial stage of my grief. I remember the brotherly love you exhumed when I first introduced myself to you in 1992 as an ambitious university freshman looking for inspiration and a mentor to help guide me through the uncertainty of the journey of life I was about to embark on. We remained in contact ever since our first meeting, from your Internship days at Okitipupa, to when you eventually left for Zimbabwe and later settled finally in Botswana. You kept your promised to help facilitate my journey out of Nigeria, I remember the care and guidance you provided me when I eventually joined you in Botswana, I remember your regular monthly visits to your dental office in Ghanzi which I often looked out for, as I was always assured of another memorable dinner time with you in the 5 stars hotel (I forgot the name) you usually stayed whenever you visited, your intervention in encouraging your friend to provide me with a letter to South Africa embassy in Gaborone that confirmed my employment status with his practice and enabled me to cross to SA from Botswana will always be appreciated. I remember the morning of my last day in Maun when I came to your dental clinic in the morning of 2nd April, 2002 to bide you goodbye, and the expression of your hope and confidence in my future. Your unconditional love for me and the support you provided me contributed in no small measure to my success today, as a United States trained consultant Hematologist and Oncologist, a clinical assistant professor of Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine and a naturalized United State Citizen. I remember telling you some few months back during one of the conversations we often had on phone that I was looking forward to your 60th birthday and my plan to fly in to Botswana with my family to celebrate with you in a grand style, It pained me so deep you left too soon for this to happen. I take solace in being a witness to and a beneficiary of your love for humanity and to the positive impact you had on the lives of so many people that ever crossed your path. I believe you will be resting peacefully in the the bosom of the Lord in heaven, feeling good of your achievements and the lives you changed for the better while you were here on planet earth. I love you my beloved big brother and mentor, till we meet again, continue to rest in peace.

You are dad from the beginning to the very end. You raised me to stand on mountain tops and loved me daringly, immensely with such care and precision that I have no doubts that I belong. I am still in utter shock and heartbroken to capture the essence of you right now. I love you and I miss your laughter so terribly.??????

Boda Ade, as I fondly call you, the news of your death came as a rude shock and agony, you are not dead as you will forever live in my heart, you are a very loving brother, cheerful, generous, compassionate, and a leader. i remembered all your advise, your gifts, I remembered when I wanted to rent a house in Ibadan, and you called me when you heard, and me how will i be renting a house in Ibadan when you have a house there, that whatever you have is for the benefit of everyone in the family, I remembered all the good times we had when we are together especially when you come to Nigeria and I had the opportunity to drive you around town, the fun we had, the laughs, the hugs, the prayer and a lot more to say. Happy that you served the lord till the very end, sure you are happy with your creator now, rest on Egbon till we meet to part no more.

Dear egbon, to say I miss you is an understatement
However, I will forever be grateful to God for the opportunity I had as your sister first and your sister-in-law second. I enjoyed the way you were teaching me the comprehension in high school, teaching me ‘big, big’ English I.e “Tintinnabulation”. I remembered you told me after my wedding to your immediate younger brother that i should feed him and that you want your brother to be your brother and not your first son. I also remembered you said I did a great job. You gave me the new name LIRA. Big daddy, you were an amazing father to us all, Ifemide was encouraged and inspired by you to follow your career pathway. You gave extremely generously your time, money, love, support and prayers. You gave it all. Now heaven has gained you again. Your memory lives on sir.
