Bill spent the first half of his long life serving his country with honor and distinction. He spent the second half of his life serving his state legislature with the same devotion to duty. Above this, all the while he stood beside his beloved Joyce as they raised three highly accomplished children grounded in love, faith, and time-honored values. His legacy will live on through them. His loved ones and friends will remember his devotion to family; his countrymen will remember the departed soldier, a hero.
