Daniel Joseph Pickett, of Pagosa Springs CO passed away Tuesday August 15, 2017 at the age 49 at his sister's home in Lake St. Louis Missouri.

Dan was born November 15, 1967 in St. Louis, MO. He was a high school
graduate of Francis Howell HS class of 1986 and a college graduate from UNLV.

Dan is preceded in death by his father Rayford M Pickett Sr., Stepmother Jeannie Pickett and mother Ruth A Pickett.

Dan loved his family, friends, and his pets. He especially loved his mountain property in Pagosa Springs where he could hunt and take in the beauty of mother nature! He will be greatly missed and is in our hearts forever!

The Pickett and Brooks family would like to say thank you for the outpouring of love and condolences from everyone! We are overwhelmed by your kindness.

Per Dan's request, we held a memorial party last April so he could be there to visit with everyone. There will be a private service in Pagosa Springs CO sometime in the future with the date and time to be determined but no additional service is planned in Missouri.

Again, we were so overwhelmed by all the visitors, gifts, meals, prayers, phone calls, and emails! As well we are thankful to the SSM Health at Home Hospice staff for their excellent care and compassion.

I am sorry to hear you have lost Dan in death. I know from personal experience that loosing loved ones like Dan is very painful and hard to deal with. That is why I am sending you my condolences today. When Jesus was living on earth, he cried when his good friend Lazarus died. (John 11:33-35) Jesus then restored Lazarus' life by resurrecting him and returned him to his grieving family members. Jesus explained that all people who die have the hope of living again on a cleansed earth. (John 5:27-29) I look forward to this time! Death is an enemy to all of us. (1 Corinthians 15:26) I hope that you will see Dan alive again and healthy on the beautiful earth. For more scriptural information on the resurrection of the dead and other topics, please look on the website jw.org. My condolences for your loss.

Dear friend, I am very sorry for your loss. I know it's not easy to lose a friend like this. But one day, God promises that he will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death nor outcry (Revelations 21:3,4). Keep praying for this day to happen soon. Once again, I am sorry for your loss.
